Increase Internal Memory of Android device by Partitioning SD card (Step by Step with Images)

As you are here that means you are having low storage android device, and you are suffering with "Internal memory full" problem and I know how it feels because I also used to have such problem in past so I have a solution for you guys, and its not much hard to follow just look and do as mentioned in the steps below:

NOTE: (i) For this your android device must be rooted.
(ii) And before following this make sure to backup your SD card..

There are two method of doing this:
1. Using ROM Manager App.
     Pros: Easy
Cons:Limited to partition SD card upto 512MB
2. By using Clockwork Mod Recovery.
     Pros:No such limitation.
     Cons: Is little bit harder.

Method 1:

To Download:ROM Manager  and Link2Sd from playstore.

Step 1: Open ROM Manager>Partition SD Card...

Step 2: Select Partition Size as per your requirement.

Step 3: In Swap Size select 32 MB or 64 MB
Step 4: Press OK and restart device
And your SD card will be partitioned.....

Step 5: Open Link2Sd and after opening it will ask you to Select the File System for your SD card's                 2nd Partition, here you have to Select EXT3 or EXT4  and Press OK(Linux File Systems)
Step 6: Again Press OK when the screen below appears.

And Restart your device...

Now to verify that 2nd partition is created or not again open link2sd and press option key.and select Storage info and look for SD Card 2nd Part as shown in image below.

Now after this all is done:
You might be thinking that how to Link apps to SD card?
Ans: Just open link2sd and look for the app that you want to move to sd card and when you find it open it and Click on 'Create Link' and Press OK as shown in image below..

And your application is linked to SD card and you are good to go...also you can enable auto link apps to sd card from link2sd settings...

Method 2:

Note: Clockwork Mod Recovery or any other Custom Recovery Should be installed on device and if you want to install it then search on google about Clockwork mod recovery for the device you have....

Step 1: Boot into Clockwork Mod Recovery on your device.

Step 2: Open Advanced which is last in the options available..

Step 3: Next Select Partition SD Card and Open it.
Step 4: Select the size at which you want to partition your SD card..
Step 5: Select Swap Size of 32MB or 64MB..
After you will select the swap size it will start to partition your SD Card...Now after Partitioning gets completed Reboot your device...

Step 6: After rebooting open Link2Sd and after opening it will ask you to Select the File System for your SD card's 2nd Partition, here you have to Select EXT3 or EXT4(Linux File Systems)  and Press OK
Step 7: Again Press OK when the screen below appears.

And Restart your device...

  • Now to verify that 2nd partition is created or not again open link2sd and press option key.and select Storage info and look for SD Card 2nd Part as shown in image below.

  • Now after this all is done:
  • You might be thinking that how to Link apps to SD card?
Ans: Just open link2sd and look for the app that you want to move to sd card and when you     find it open it and Click on 'Create Link' and Press OK as shown in image below..

And your application is linked to SD card and you are good to go...also you can enable auto link apps to sd card from link2sd settings...
